Arthritis Leg Pain,

best described as joint inflammation in the legs, it feels heavy on the legs, and hips plus a sharp pain in the calves, this can be a very painful condition that will eventually lead to loss of mobility, but do not fear many treatments are available .

There are 2 types of arthritis leg pain you should be aware of:

Osteoarthritis, A.K.A. degenerative arthritis or degenerative joint disease.

Adult Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Both can cause leg pain, about 1% of the people in the world have rheumatoid arthritis, and women are 3 times more likely to have it than men, this happens mostly in people ages 40-50 but people of any age can be affected. There is no cure for rheumatoid arthritis, but as I stated many treatments are available for arthritis leg pain, that can help alleviate the pain.

Cortisone therapy: Said to work good, but the long term effects are not desirable.

Pharmacological treatment: Includes resting and working out, and or anti rheumatic drugs.

Joint Injections: a hypodermic needle is injected in the affected area, containing anti-inflammatory agents.

Ayurveda: Indian medicine, that has no studies to show its benefits to arthritis leg pain.
